Swap Entry for Upline Meeting

On May 1st, I attended a meeting organized by one of my upline (more of up-up-up-upline). It is held at the Spaghetti Factory in Duarte. There are different tables for demonstrations of products and techniques. Some ladies also discuss ways to improve their business. Demonstrators who participate in the swap must bring 30 card fronts (or stamped projects) plus one for the hostess. I created my swap with Le Jardin Botanique, To the Nines Specialty designer series paper, Close to Cocoa, Sage Shadow, Chocolate Chip and Sahara Sand ink & cardstock. It also has Sage Shadow 1/4" grosgrain and specks of ink created with the Stampin' Up! Spritzer tool.

Color Renovation

Stampin' Up! recently announced that there will be a change in colors coming with the new Idea Book & Catalog. Of course, some people are upset about it and others are more welcoming. Just as seasons change, styles come and go... like colors. For the most part, I am open to the change that will come. The colors I think I will miss most are: Taken with Teal, Pale Plum and Close to Cocoa. On the other hand, I can't wait for the addition of Cherry Cobbler (a deep red) and Early Espresso (darker brown than chocolate chip). I also am glad to see Baja Breeze and Rich Razzleberry return. I had a little too much time the other day and was playing with different color swatches. I ended up making a chart of colors I would "ideally" like to have.

Here are the official new Color Collections:

My Digital Studio

Thanks to My Digital Studio (by Stampin' Up!), I was able to create a new blog header! It has been a long time since I have updated this blog... so I am glad to bring new life to it. I hope to update this with new ideas and photos--once I get them off the camera!

Here is a background I am going to test:
